144-year-old Wisteria in Japan!

At 1,990 square meters (around half an acre), this huge wisteria is the largest of its kind in Japan. The wisteria was planted in 1870 and is at its peak beauty between mid-April and mid-May.

It is native to eastern United States, China, Korea and Japan. Some species are used popularly for ornamental uses especially in China and Japan.
