Crape Jasmine

Crape Jasmine is native to India.

It can grow to a height of 6 feet and flowers in spring. On breaking the stem, it exudes a milky latex and hence the name Milk Flower.

The flowers are used in religious offerings in Hinduism. In Ayurvedic medicine, all parts including the roots, flowers and stems are used.

Common names include Chandni in Hindi, Carnation of India and Pin Wheel. It is planted for ornamental purposes.
