Tree shoots striate, tomentose when young. Leaves broadly ovate deltoid 12-30*11-24cm, shortly acuminate, base truncate or cordate, petiole inserted 1-2.5cm above the base, margins sinuate denticulate palmately 9-11 veined at the base with 5-11 sessile discoid glands on lowermost veins on upper surface, minor veins parallel, prominent beneath, beneath, subglabrous, lower surface densely gland-dotted; petioles 8-17cm, stipules lanceolate 7mm, caducous. Panicles axillary 5-10cm. Male flowers minute sessile 1.5mm, sepals 2-3, stamens 12.
Female flowers on short pedicels, calyx 1mm, ovary deeply biloded, styles 2-3recurved. Capsules deeply bilobed 4mm, gland-dotted.
