The fruit has anti-asthmatic, anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive, and antioxidant properties. Thus, the fruits are actively used to cure whooping cough, skin diseases, and anti-fertility.
Leaves are used for the treatment of jaundice. The bark of this tree is recognized as a traditional healer in treating pain and swelling. The paste of the bark is also used to pacify snake-bite and dog-bite.
