“Sagano Bamboo Forest trail is one of the most photographed sites in Kyoto!
It is located at the forest of Arashiyama in Japan. It is grouped under the historic site as there are many famous temples and shrines around this forest. It has also been declared as a Place of Scenic Beauty by the Agency of Cultural Affairs.
The walking paths that cut through the bamboo groves make for a nice walk or bicycle ride. One of the most interesting facts is the sound which the wind makes while it blows amongst the bamboo. This sound has been voted as one of the one hundred must-be-preserved sounds of Japan by the Japanese government. ”
