What is a Grove ?

Many participants can celebrate one event common to all (a wedding; an anniversary; the birth of a child; a house warming; a graduation; ....) by individually planting one or more trees and collectively dedicating a "Grove" of trees, with the recipient getting ONE eTreeCertificate.

For example, for a wedding, the couple (or one of their friends) can start a "Grove" with a minimum of 10 trees a few weeks in advance of their wedding date, decide a planting period (which may end on the wedding date) during which friends can plant, inform friends about it, and at the end of the planting period, they will get ONE certificate (and Supplementary pages with names of each wellwisher, their messages and the number of trees planted), to print and frame for memories for all times. So as to allow each planter to keep the number of trees private from the other planters, the Grove can be designated a "Private" Grove. The couple can respond with one click and say thanks, and even plant a tree honoring each wellwisher.

GROVES CAN BE STARTED BY THE CELEBRATORS THEMSELVES OR BY THEIR FRIENDS OR TO HONOR A PUBLIC CELEBRITY

GROVES CAN CELEBRATE A GRADUATION, A WEDDING, AN ANNIVERSARY, A BIRTHDAY, A NEWBORN, A HOUSEWARMING...... OR CAN BE USED TO PAY TRIBUTE TO A DEPARTED

Public / Private Grove

Like any private gift that is known only to you and the recipient, the number of trees you plant and your personal message would be known only to the recipient(s) (and the Grove Initiator) in a Private Grove. In a Public Grove, the number of trees you plant will be visible to all planters and the recipient(s). Names will be displayed in the certificate in the alphabetical order of first and last name.
