| The Pagoda Tree is native to eastern Asia. It is planted mainly as an ornamental tree in Europe, North America and South Africa. The tree is famous for its white flowers and was once planted as a memorial tree for government officials and near Buddhist shrines. A tea made from its bark was thought to stop bleeding and cure burns. |
