Castor

Castor is one of the first medicinal plants known to man. Its seeds have been found in Egyptian tombs dating to 4000 B.C. and mentioned in papyrus scrolls thought to have been written around 1500 B.C.. Around 4 centuries before the birth of Christ, the Greek historian Herodotus noted its use as a lamp oil and it is still employed in the temples of south India.

Castor oil is an excellent hair tonic, and also used as a massage oil to remove aches and pains.
