| Cannonball tree is a tree whose fruits resemble cannon balls. It is known as Kailashpati in Hindi and originated in South America but can be planted in any tropical country. Its flowers are used by Shiva worshipers for their pujas as it has religious significance. The flowers have six petals and when a petal is crushed, it immediately turns blue as the air reaches the crushed parts. The tree also possesses antibiotic, anti-fungal, antiseptic and analgesic qualities. |
