| The Bakain tree’s extracts from the bark, leaves or roots help to expel intestinal worms and to treat fevers, rheumatism and inflammations. Many parts of the tree especially the fruit, are narcotic, except perhaps to birds (bulbuls seem to be immune). Insect repellents and flea powder are made from the fruit. The leaves and bruised bark are used to stupefy fish. |
