Babul

The Babul or Kikar as known in Hindi is an evergreen tree and grows fairly slowly. Its leaves close when it gets too hot to protect itself from the sun and preserve moisture.

All parts of this tree are useful. The gum from this tree is used for making glue and sweets while its twigs are used for cleaning teeth.
