| African Tulip tree was brought to India and Sri Lanka from tropical Africa and it grows well in most tropical countries. It is widely used as an ornamental tree. The flower bud contains water and when squeezed, a jet of water comes out. The bark is used for treating ulcers and skin diseases. Parts of this tree including the bark, roots and leaves are said to have antimicrobial, anti-malarial and anti-fungal properties. |
