Sloth Bears are listed in Schedule I of the Indian Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and are legally protected. We are planting trees at the periphery of Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sactuary in western India to address the deteriorating habitat. IUCN estimates that less than 20,000 sloth bears survive in the wilds of the Indian subcontinent and Sri Lanka.
Termites are an important part of the diet of sloth bears. About 80% of the sanctuary is comprised of rocky hills where termites are normally absent. In Kumbhalgarh, the higher proportion of plant food in the diet of sloth bear indicates that it is predominantly vegetarian; it often climbs trees to consume arboreal food which is rich in food contents like flowers, fruits and seeds. Grow-Trees.com is planting 40,000 trees that will create approximately 3,500 workdays of jobs in the nursery and planting activities. These trees will improve water catchment, prevent soil erosion and decarbonize the atmosphere. This project has been adopted by Pepperfry, a leader in online home and furniture retail and in green initiatives.

Plant Trees for Indian Giant Flying Squirrels™ in Public Lands as CSR. With the reforestation program in the buffer zone of Sitamata Sanctuary in Rajasthan, our aim is to restore the surrounding areas and mitigate the anthropogenic pressure in the core-areas.
