“Sandbox tree’s fruit explodes sending its seeds over 100 feet!

It is an evergreen tree native to North and South America. Its fruits are pumpkin-shaped capsules with 16 carpels arranged radially. Upon ripening, the fruit will explode like a botanical hand-grenade carrying seeds up to 40 meters or 130 feet at 240 kph or 140 mph.

It can grow to around 60 meters or 200 feet. In traditional medicine, it has been used to treat skin diseases, rheumatism and intestinal worms.”
