| Sea Squill is native to parts of Europe, Asia and North Africa. It has been used in traditional medicine to treat jaundice, convulsions and asthma. It has been since ancient times and has been noted in the Ebers Papyrus, one of the oldest medical texts of ancient Egypt. The famous Greek philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras wrote about it in the 6th century BC and hung the bulbs with sprouted leaves outside the door to protect from evil spirits. |
