| Dahlia is the national flower of Mexico. It flowers in early spring and the flower consists of numerous petals encircling a central yellow core known as the ‘capitulum’ or floral head. Dahlia’s can be grown in varying shades of white, yellow, orange, red, pink and purple. It is most commonly used for decorative purposes on cakes, tarts and pastries. It is also served alongside cheese or desserts as a garnish. |
