| Cockspur Coral Tree is native to parts of South America. It can reach a height of around 30 feet and produces nitrogen fixing bacteria. It flowers from April to October in the northern hemisphere and October to April in the southern hemisphere where it is native. Its scarlet red to dark red flowers give it the common name fireman’s cap tree. And is extensively planted as a street and garden tree for its bright red flowers. It is the national tree of Argentina and the national flower of Argentina and Uruguay. |
