| Bottle tree is native to Australia and New Guinea. It can reach a height of up to 100 feet. Its name could be taken literally as water is stored between the inner bark and the trunk. Aborigines carved holes into the soft bark to create reservoir-like structures. The seeds, roots, stems and bark have been a traditional source of food for people and animals. |
