Australia has an estimated 27,700 plant species. More than 378 mammal species, 828 bird species, 4000 fish species, 300 species of lizards, 140 snake species, two crocodile species and around 50 types of marine mammal. It is one of the many reasons people visit this country.

Rough Barked Apple can live for over a hundred years.

It is a large tree growing to 100 feet in height. Its flowers are cream-white in colour and appear during the months of November to March.

It can be found in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and is planted across parks and streets.
