| The Plum tree can reach up to 12 meters in height and spread across 10 meters. It blossoms in different months in different parts of the world like in about January in Taiwan and about April in USA. The fruit tastes sweet and is often medium size, between 1 to 3 inches in diameter and globose to oval. The flesh of the fruit is firm, juicy and mealy. Its peel is smooth with a natural waxy surface that adheres to the flesh. The fruit has a large single seed. The fruit is eaten fresh and used in jams or other recipes. Its juice can be fermented into plum wine. |
