| Mango – India’s National Fruit Mango has been cultivated in India for a long time and is regarded as the National Fruit of the country. It is described as the ‘Food of the Gods’, in the sacred Vedas and has grown almost in all parts of India. There are more than 100 varieties of mangoes in India in a range of colors, sizes and shapes. The great Moghul emperor Akbar has been known to plant as many as 100,000 mango trees in Lakhi Bagh in Darbhanga, Bihar. |
