Ginkgo Tree

Ginkgo Tree, also known as Maiden Hair Trees, is a living fossil and has no close living relatives. It is found mainly in China and Japan where they are worshiped.

This tree is extremely tenacious and resilient. This tree is called Bearer of Hope because of their endurance after the bombings at Hiroshima. Six of these trees 1-2 km away from the bombing sites survived unlike all other plants.

Surprisingly, the above stated trees are still alive.
