Fairy Lily

Fairy Lily grows well in gardens and the pure white trumpets bloom around Mother’s Day.

The name is derived from the Greek god of the west wind Zephyrus, meaning flower referring to the slender stalks.

Certain species are widely used as a folk medicine in many countries including India. The decoction of its leaves has been used in South Africa as a remedy for diabetes.
