Titan Arun is endemic to Sumatra, Indonesia and grows in openings in rain forests on limestone hills. It is cultivated by botanical gardens and private collectors around the world.

The titan arum’s inflorescence can reach over 10 feet in height. It is characterized as a carrion flower and also known as the ‘corpse flower’ because of its odour.
