| Apple-ring Acacia was introduced to India and Pakistan but is native to Africa and the Middle East. It is a thorny tree growing 6 to 30 mt. in height. It is important in the Sahel for raising bees as its flowers provide bee forage at the end of the rainy season when most other local plants do not. Extract of this tree is used to treat ocular infections in farm animals. |
