Aparajita

Aparajita means undefeated and is said to be the favourite flower of Goddess Durga and hence its use in Durga puja. The flower usually blooms in the puja season.

All parts of the plant have medicinal properties and is widely used in Ayurveda. Its roots fix nitrogen and is used to improve soil quality.
