Queen of the night

Queen of the night, also called Harsingar, Parijat or Raat ki Rani, is one of the favorite plants amongst gardeners because of its pleasant and strong scented flowers. The flowers open at the dusk and fall off at the break of the day.
In Hindu Mythology, Parijat appeared as a result of Samudra Manthan and the flowers are used now in Hindu worships.
Its dried flowers are used as components of recipe in Assamese food. The leaves of this plant are used in Ayurvedic medicine for Sciatica and Arthritis.
