White Mulberry

“White Mulberry is native to China.

It can grow to around 20 meters or 60 feet high. It is widely grown for its fruit that can be eaten fresh, preserved or dried for winter use. It is a popular tree for silkworm feed and has been planted in China for a very long time. It was introduced in the USA and other countries for silkworm production.

The bark and other parts have been used in traditional Asian medicine to treat cough, fever and diabetes.

Today, it is a popular shade tree planted in gardens, parks and along streets. ”
