Harads

The Treehotel, located near Harads, Sweden a town in the north of the country about 40 miles south of the Arctic Circle, is about to open its largest tree room yet. In fact, it will be the biggest in the world. Their well-known hotels are the Cabin which is like a capsule, a foreign body in the trees, The Bird’s Nest – a cabin completely camouflaged by thatch and branches only accessible by a retractable staircase and The Mirrorcube whose base consists of an aluminum frame around the tree trunk and the walls are covered with reflective glass. To prevent birds from flying into the mirrored walls, they have been clad with infrared film. The colour is invisible to humans, but visible to the birds.
