Cashew

Cashew is native to northeastern Brazil. The tree is beautiful with its large leaves and attractive pink flowers.

Although, the nut is more popular, the fruit is part of the cashew fruit too. The fruit is red-skinned and juicy and is a storehouse for Vitamin C. Cashew nuts are a very rich source of minerals especially manganese, potassium, copper, iron, magnesium, zinc and selenium are concentrated in the nuts.

The main producers of cashew nuts are Vietnam, India and Nigeria.
