Gulmohar

“Gulmohar is a vibrant and some call it the most colourful tree in the world.

It is a deciduous tree native to Madagascar and can grow to over 40 feet in height.

During Holi celebrations, people smear each other with coloured powders to celebrate the arrival of spring. The leaves of this tree can be dried, mixed with henna and powdered to get a green colour. The flowers are used to prepare an organic red coloured powder.
