Rose

Rose is the most popular ornamental plant found in homes and gardens.

The earliest rose cultivation dates back to 500 BC. There are over 100 species of Roses and most of them are native to Asia.

Its petals and buds is used to flavour ordinary tea. It is widely used as a herbal medicine and in traditional Chinese medicine. It is also used in preparing cosmetics, perfumes, hand lotions, creams, essential rose oil and rose water. Today, almost all perfumes and fragrances contain rose oil.

Rooh Afza, a popular Indian squash is made using roses.
