Monkey Jack

Monkey Jack is an evergreen tree native to India.

It can grow to 30 feet in height and the fruit yield can be up to 80 kg per tree. Its fruit is edible with the raw fruit and flowers used in pickles and chutneys. The colour is dull-yellow with a pink tinge and the fruit is a sweet-sour pulp.

It has been used in traditional medicine to treat skin ailments and headaches.

It is commonly known as lakoocha, monkey fruit and badahara in Hindi.
