Toothbrush tree

Toothbrush tree has been used for hundreds of years as a natural toothbrush and is commonly called Miswak.

Its fibrous branches have been promoted by the World Health Organization for oral hygiene use. Research has suggested it contains many medically beneficial properties including abrasives, antiseptics, astringent, detergents, enzyme inhibitors and fluoride.

It is often mentioned that the Islamic Prophet Muhammad recommended its use.
