Japanese Sago Palm is slow growing and drought tolerant is native to Japan.

It is mainly promoted commercially as a landscape plant and is a popular bonsai plant. All parts of it are poisonous to animals and including humans if consumed.

It can reach a height of over 20 feet and requires around 50 to 100 years to achieve this height.
